Xojo Banning and Deleting Posts

You want mine?

Well, Looks like a few bugs showed up in r2, which may be urgent enough to cause a 2.1 release. It may be three months till r3 is coming…

There is no requirement for MVP to like the actions of moderators.

The posting from Jury is not helpful as he complains about some issues, but doesn’t say what.

Everyone has favorite bugs, which should be fixed soon, but sadly my bugs don’t often get high priority.

He had no freaking chance. Kem just shut it down.

The quality of each release is worst with each new one. The bugs are piling up and the unsolved feedback cases grow bigger. This person just speak up what many feel, why make FC, why bother if xojo focus on marketing features instead of queality and bug fixes.

But, the company allways has the oportunity to use that kind of coments to improve their PR and the product at the same time, if only they have tried ASKED what the specific problem was instead of the delutional ā€œbugs are solved each release now shut upā€

Actually, I’m finding 2021r2 to be the most stable release since 2019r1, and several irritating bugs have been fixed (like waiting 30 seconds to save a one-line change). This is only for desktop though.

However, in the survey where they asked for the top three features I’d like to see, I wrote:

  1. Bug fixes.
  2. More bug fixes.
  3. Even more bug fixes.

I would guess they do
dunno how many folks have IP’s that might overlap collide are dynamic etc that they might tie them to specific people
if you have a fixed ip well …

Probably need a current active license ?

Do you mean

Everyone has their favorite bugs which they would like fixed soon ?

Guess we need to file another case like 61900 :stuck_out_tongue:

That would be the minimum expectation for basic customer support. And that was my immediate takeaway. A missed opportunity on top of the many other ones. But it is clear where that is heading. It reminds me of a couple of post some years back about how the Purebasic forum was pretty closed and unless one was singing the praises you would get kicked out. And how the Xojo forum in comparison was so open and different. Seems like an eternity ago.

It was like:

  • I would like to say… (a client)
  • Shut up!!! (a moderator)
  • :clap:t2: :clap:t2: :clap:t2: :clap:t2: (2 employees and 2 moderators)

@MonkeybreadSoftware
If you want to take any constructive criticism back to the other side (if that is part of the reason you are an ā€œolive branchā€ on this side) you can take the quote from @Rick.A above. I found the exchange so harsh and careless that I asked two of my HW peers to read the exchange, nothing more just the exchange (they had no prior knowledge, they don’t know Xojo, or anybody the people involved). Their expressions where identical, like ā€œwow that guy got slammedā€, ā€œhope that Tim guy is just having a bad day, otherwise that company is just nutsā€. I paraphrased a bit, but not much.

But the forums are for USERS to support USERS
note how little Xojo is actually there

I dont have a ā€œcurrentā€ one and got the survey.

Bug fixes are always welcomed, however, by bad quality Im talking about things like this: 14861 lost its way - #2 by Ivan_Tellez - Bugs and Feature Requests - Xojo Programming Forum

WTF? the code editor is the most important thing of the IDE, how it is posible that they ship a product with HUGE OBVIOS bugs?

The lack of QA is beyond disapointing :slightly_frowning_face:

Why is support not handled in the forums?

Do you guys and girls ever get anything done?

It seems like you are always here bitching  :joy:

I get your pain though, but seriously, it gets booring in the long run…
I try to keep away from INN sometimes, but I’m drawn back like a moth to a light to get
my daily bitching fix

PS! dont take this serious…
