Double meaning of bark in English:

  1. bark of a dog = bellen or kläffen
  2. bark of a tree = Rinde

So the correct version would probably be Kläffreaktion or Bellreaktion.

But I thought Rindenreaktion was really clever … completely throws you … :+1:

How do you know that it is a good Idea? Describe the goodies behind the scene and maybe I mean and think later the same as you. As long as you are not bringing arguments … And not making sense is not a thought it is a fact. The downside to bans is that Xojo pushes more & more people away leaving fewer & fewer who have the knowledge to provide those answers

I’ve had recent conversations with others who have also had this “Xojo is technical debt” issue mentioned :frowning:

I think this thread is a good example of lots of “advice” that has offered the poor guy very little “help”

lots of “oh you should do this the xojo way etc” when really all he was trying to do was post some vb code that CAN be ported and he wanted help to do it

I’ve written it but there are somethings in his code I cant port as his code is taken out of context (Ie/ there’s reference to check2 which I have no idea what that is - I assume a control on a form ?)

And that VB code is FAST as heck since it uses Windows bulk searching API’s
