I just found the the version I have from this year does not play mp3 and if I want mp3 player I have to drop back to earlier version of Xojo which breaks a lot of code.

2024r3 doesn’t play an MP3 in the movie player ?
Does it open in Quick time player or whatever app uses now ?
I have not tested, but it should play mp3-sound using native sound libraries (not movie player):

At least for me, I’ve had zero problems playing MP3 files in Xojo from any version from 2023 through today’s 2024. I’m targeting Mac & Windows so I can’t really speak to Linux.
