IMHO:
an [ANN] message from a company have to be taken as “do not go elsewhere (do not buy something else), we will have all these exciting technology (and we will give you… one day).”
If you believe the message, you will not appreciate the waiting time and version 1 of what they will provide. But in the mean time, you continue to use that software and eventually upgrade to new versions.
