I think you are reading too much into it. That seems more like tongue-in-cheek to me, aka the last version we fixed bugs in for API 1 ā¦

I hate them.
I am constantly being send whackpot theories by friends and family about some miracle cancer remedy or now COVID-19 theories āproving itās not realā. Has been going on for years, and they never ever learn. The last one was a broadcast that had three massive errors within the first 30 seconds so I didnāt even bother listening to the rest but send out a message detailing the errors and concluded with a āSTOP BEING FUCKING IDIOTS!ā.

Yeah thats the LTS version for Web 1.0 because that will be that last version with Web 1.0 But thats not exactly LTS - its abandoned after that
After Web 2.0 ships there are no more fixes for Web 1.0 so Iām not sure if that counts as LTS
LTS usually implies some kind of ongoing fixing and support
That wont be happening for 2019r3.1
2019r3.1 will basically be ādiscontinuedā once the new version ships

Youād have to read Gregs latestresponse but there isnt any LTS like you might be used to with Ubuntu etc
2019r3.1 will be the last build of Xojo which has any support for the old web framework whatsoever and we will not be fixing and more of the bugs reported against it. If you want or need to use the old web framework, thatās the one to use.
Its LTS in the sense that it wont change - because they wont back patch it or fix any bug reported

There IS a last version it was in, which is whats going to happen to Web 1.0 from everyting Iāve seen so far and from Gregās own presentation. When Web 2.0 ships there will be no more Web 1.0

A lot of the discussion in that Web 2.0 thread should be Geoff answering esp where its not technology related but āwhy did xojo ā¦ā or āwhen will xojo ā¦ā kinds of questions
As in a āthe buck stops hereā or āI made this decisionā whether he did or not and take what ever heat/pressure off the engineers
