YOUR scared helpless country directly benefits from USA’s protection.
Without the U.S. YOUR citizens in Canada would all be speaking Russian or Chinese.
YOUR country’s military/armed forces and defenses are a joke and that puts the U.S. at higher risk.
From what I’ve read online Canada has maybe 100,000 soldiers including reserves.
The fact that Canada is protected by the United States means Canada doesn’t have spend Billions/Trillions on military so it can spend money on other things.
But no Canadian will ever be honest enough to thank the U.S. for it’s continuous protection.
They just love to pretend to be better than others when they are not.
Taking over Canada would be laughably easy.
For example, we wouldn’t even need our military to overtake your entire country:

Just curious folks, how does this division and political bile brewing on the forum help solve our favorite SDK’s slide in to Fascism and mediocrity?
IMO (not that anybody asked for it) there are a billion other places to be fighting over the details of the United States 2020 presidential election. Doing it here sullies the unity of purpose (fix Xojo, find alternatives, survive) and risks people putting politics before the mission, which really needs a unified front if it is to have any chance. People looking for Xojo are going to stumble on this place, do we want to have a bunch of Donkeys and Elephants fighting in the lobby or do we want to be taken seriously?
Anyhow, that’s my take on it, please continue.
BTW, for and on the record, I am really enjoying my time with all of you here, democrats, republicans, communists, fascists, monarchists, anarchists and anything in between.

Not laughing at the law or the holocaust (not at all), just that it is absolutely true that all modern internet conversations involving politics eventually reach out to Adolf at some point.
I will gladly discuss specific topics and how Democrats and Republicans differ and why I support Republicans.
Please remember I live in this country and these policies directly effect my life and the lives of my family members and friends.
They are not simply a ‘theory’ or a passing thought like to many of you whom don’t live in the United States so you are never negatively effected by them.
Obviously it’s easier for you non U.S. residents to claim you support something because you aren’t the ones being taken advantage of.

Topic 1:
Illegal Immigration into the United States.
There are currently at least 14 MILLION illegal aliens in the United States.
That is more illegal people in the U.S. than many countries have legal citizens.
They are criminals. They have illegally invaded my country.
Every day more illegals illegally invade into my country.
If they came with weapons it would likely be considered an act of war.
Without weapons it is akin to an act of economic war.
The Democrats are always trying to get more illegal aliens into the country illegally because the more illegals the more support Democrats get.
There is a legal process of immigration to let people into the United States legally, Democrats intentionally by pass/circumvent it (probably illegally in some cases).
Democratic supporters please explain why you support the never ending flow of millions of illegal aliens into the United States.
Please include why you think the constant illegal invasion is a good thing for U.S. citizens and the United States as a whole.
In my opinion, many politicians that reach high positions are not there to serve their country/state/region/city… but because of the power, and many of them use it wrongly. This is clearly influenced by the cultural aspects of each country/region (I live in Spain… I know very well what a system full of corruption is), but less so by the political tendencies of those in power.
As for Trump, I am no expert, I don’t follow closely what he does, but he gives the impression that he is just trying to hold on to the power as long as he can, besides favouring his own people (he is the president of all US citizents, not only of those who voted for him). In addition to that, he seems to be a liar (and I have seen many politicians acting like this, did I mention where I live?). It is irrelevant whether he belongs to one party or the other one, he doesn’t seem to be a good president for all US citizents.
In general they are not worth a figth here, in my opinion.
