Scirra Construct 3 (C3), a new way of game development

@thorstenstueker ,

Thank you for your interesting reply. I will follow your advice and start learning Java.

I like using Xojo but it is too risky. When next year the licence server goes down, then Xojo users are stuck.

I will watch Youtube for some good starter tutorials and follow your suggestions.

I wish you a nice Sunday.

Kind Regards,

Chris

Hello All,

Today, I am proud to announce that Scirra Construct 3 (C3) released its 400th upgrade. For this occassion, Ashley, founder and lead developer of C3, published a blog post about progress since the 300 release.

This is surely a day to celebrate for the Scirra - C3 game developers. Our tool gets better and better and can compete with professional game development environments.

You can find Ashley’s blog post here (with permission of Scirra):

Hello Everyone,

It has been a long time since my last post here, in July 2024. Since the last stable release, Construct 3 (C3) has had the same code editor as Microsoft .NET: Monaco.

Founder of C3, Ashley, wrote a blog about this new code editor, which you can find here:

Construct’s new text and code editor

Construct 3 is a perfect game development environment for indie and professional developers. When you are interested in game development, you can try out Construct 3 here:

Enjoy reading and developing games in Construct 3!

Until Next Time,

Chris

Not to be confused with the C3 language

Hi Chikega,

This thread is clearly about Scirra Construct 3 game development engine. It has nothing to do with the C3 language you mentioned. C3 is used by Scirra and its users as a shortcut.

Thank you for mention the C3 language, so I learned something new today.

Kind regards,

Chris
