May be yes. But it is not too late. America could get rid of this guy. In my eyes he has dementia or Alzheimer. Both is possible. And I have no Idea why this Republican Guys are not stopping him. There is a good chance that it ends up with a lame Duck.

Let’s say that they impeach the guy. Then what? Do you really think that anyone in the world is ready to trust us, or our leadership, again? The damage is done. In a little over a year he’s managed to undo 80 years of work.

No, I believe that on the long run America lost good customer für his firearms while Europe starts to move by self. They can do all that stuff. No need for Airplanes with Killswitch. No need for a Vicepresident which believes he is GOD.

That’s the problem. Then America wants it. Majority counts. and if America wants it they have to suffer what will come out. Trump wants to deal with Putin. I guess he really believes in this Guy. Until he will learn that he should not belive to a chronical ferritail inventor like Putin. Every single word is not true.

This is part of my ‘the damage is already done.’ If he was removed from office today, all research programs restarted as soon as possible, it would take a decade, or more, to recover to where we were a few years ago. It really pisses me off that the business community doesn’t recognize that government research funding helps them out in countless ways with basic research that’s not profitable but still incredibly useful.
We have a personal friend that got her PhD in microbiology and was studying Alzheimer’s Disease. Her research program got cut, found a much lesser job in research, but now no longer has a research job since many programs were decimated in DOGE cuts.
She’s running a bookstore now. She loves books so it’s a dream come true (in a way) but helping cure Alzheimer’s was her dream through high school, undergrad, graduate, and PhD programs. She’s probably never going back into research. I’m sure she knows dozens of scientists that are finding alternative careers too. The damage is real and I doubt it is reversible in the short term.

I (still) work in the biotech industry… Industry WILL eventually be affected not just government and and academic research… That said at 70 it won’t affect me much … at first… But it will hurt the economy significant eventually, which is likely to make the last half of my retirement “challenging” economically.
