In High School everyone else came in small groups from their previous school - except me. I was the only one from my old school going to this particular High School. We had THREE bullies in our year - and the little groups all closed up and protected each other. Which left me to face the bullies on my own. And no, not all Americans are guilty: more and more are standing up against this militia which kills people, which acts like SS and Gestapo in Hitler-regime. And he is still in control while the American Constitution makes it possible that a president acts like this moron. This makes him to act like a King. You are speaking to a few Germans here, so MAYBE get your head out of your ideological ass? We extensively analysed the 1930s and 40s in school in History, Sociology, and Geography - and you want to tell US GERMANS about the “poor Germans”? There were some, my grandmother among them. But Hitler had HUGE support (my grandfather was a bona-fide Nazi).
It was AFTER the war that everyone suddenly didn’t know anything and of course wasn’t a member.

There really are evil bastards out in the World. They don’t appear evil all the time, they can be incredibly charming (eg Farage), they care about ‘their own’ - but they are still truly evil. And I know because I haven’t just met some, I grew up with one.

Stack the Supreme Court, put loyal judges in place, take over the judiciary, take over intelligence services and any agency you can by putting loyalists in charge (eg statistics on the economy), establish an ‘enemy of the people’ (aka immigrants), establish a para-military force loyal to the movement, abolish mail-in votes, gerrymander districts to increase your share in both Houses, create havoc in democratic states to justify a ‘case of emergency’ that allows you to restrict voting to certain locations, have ICE guard those voting stations ‘for security reasons’, etc etc etc
It’s the ‘Dictator’s Playbook’ on how to take over a country. Orban did part of it in Hungary, which is ironic as Russia did that TO Hungary before their invasion in 1956 by supplying the Communist Party with resources and weapons. Putin did it. And now Trump does it.
