This was the thinking of people in Germany 1933-1945. Don’t stick your nose. Don’t fight the system. Do not do anything against this behavior of the authorities. This made the Shoa / the Holocaust possible. That power Hitler could gain made this drama of the world. And what we see in America now if the same behaviour as it was in the beginning of Hitlers government. He took all the power to his person (like Trump is doing now) and he formed Gestapo and SA/SS. The people from SS became later: assistant policemen. In their SS uniform. With guns. And done the same as the ICE people are doing. With the same kind of brutality. This forms the duty to stick the nose. Cause if nobody sticks the nose it will become more and more powerful and at the end they even need no midterms and no president election anymore cause King Trump and later his Son are the King of America.

And there is another problem. You are speaking about the weapon he was wearing. Before the shooting an Ice agent took that weapon from him and went away from this scenario. The shooting begun when he was around 15 feets away. What you wan’t to tell me about the weapon. If a weapon is removed the person can’t use it anymore. This was an execution. Stating an Example.
Do not forget: Millions of people in USA wearing weapons open while it is a permitted right following to the constitution. What you call dump is a normal behavior in USA. So please think about how this country works and what is really behind the scenes before judging this book by it’s cover.
No it wasn’t: just look at the video’s going around. The weapon may have been removed before the shooting, but that only made the situation worse for the victim: ICE then knew it was somebody with a concealed gun and (even with a permit, but at that moment they did not know that) that moves the threat level up for these cops: there might be another concealed weapon, so now they’re even more itchy then before. The guy also does NOT comply with these guys, like he would have done if he had any common sense, he keeps resisting arrest, you can see him moving up until the very last moment.
Again: I’m not defending these cops and I DO support the statement that ICE is completely illegal in it’s actions, I even support your theory that this is rapidly changing into Gestapo-like behavior. Trump is completely derailed and I sincerely hope there will be an impeachment soon, before he get’s too much power. But that does not change the fact that both these victims were acting irrational and actually quite stupid.
Of course action is needed against this development, but getting into the faces of these trigger happy ICE cops is not the way you will reap success, unless you’re seeking to be a martyr.
That’s how a left winged person would describe it and it’s too much black and white. What Trump is attempting to do is rounding up all illegal immigrants and the fact is that most of these people are Spanish speaking since they’re from South America. The fact also is that most of these people are living in the US for years, maybe even decades, and they have been building a life for themselves, so it’s tough to see these people being arrested now after years of tolerance. Trump is handling all these immigrants the same, the ones living there for years and the ones that just got there. Over here in the Netherlands we have a similar problem of immigrants/refugees but we have much more tolerance against people that have built a life here (although not everybody agrees with that). And don’t forget: it’s not Trump that is doing this, it’s the civilians that VOTED for him and that is a big chunk of US citizens…
Hmm. It sounds like you do it but anyway: there was no right to shoot. There are laws which are allowing that. And so the ICE agents should not break the laws. But they do. As only 50 days educated agents with the allownes to shoot. That problem Germany also had. Many of the SS Guys done the same. But hey, the parallels are not interesting for you. In your eyes he is the one made an error. Not the ICE guys. When a weapon is released, that is law in US, shooting is forbidden. It is also for the police only allowed to protect them self or third parties getting harmed. So simple it is. And it has nothign to do with your considerations. While you are not living in america you have no Idea how many people having the permit to carry a weapon. And also you do not know the law beside: they could see the weapon (carried open, everybody can see it) while this is one of the conditions how to carry a weapon in public. So you may have an Idea how this would work in europe but not in america. This Guys having an education of two months. People like this should not get a weapon in their hands like this.
Not really completely true. In his 2025 Bible there is a cleansing from hispanic people discussed. That’s what he wants. Even people which are American Citizens are in focus, are arrested by ICE. You have no Idea what’s really going on. And no, I am not from the left side. I am really conservative. But that what they are doing there isn’t conservative. From my perspective it is criminal. As of the specifics those officers attacked him because he was filming as is his constitutional right and they want no accountability. They were using excessive force against him and that woman from the start of the interaction even before the shooting. They were not close enough to whatever the ICE operation in the area was to be “impeding”
You have it backwards. They were being so very brave knowing that ICE agents have brutally attacked, maimed, and even killed protesters. I’ve been to several protests and I have consciously decided that I’m willing to take that risk - because it’s my right to do so. I’m an old, straight, moderately wealthy, white guy with way more privilege than many so it seems like the least I can do. Having relatives that are of color, gay, trans, or very poor means that I have a duty to represent them because either they can’t, or are afraid to go, for fear of being attacked.
You have to remember that ICE is not the same thing as police. A police officer has more training, continuing education, and is held accountable. If they are involved with a shooting they are immediately put on administrative leave pending an investigation. I have friends that are police and have training to deescalate tense situations to avoid these very types of situations. Real police get trained to properly deal with concealed weapons. Real police get trained to deal with suspects in cars. These goons are just cos-playing.
ICE wants these type of events because that’s what they’ve been told to do. Sure, there are bad police out there but ICE is hiring white supremacists, far-right militia nuts, people involved with the January 6th insurrection, and the worst of the worst. It’s not about immigration (because Minnesota has very few undocumented immigrants) - it’s about intimidation and trying to justify invoking further military involvement. They want people to be killed to further escalate the situation.
This is definitely what it looks like. They act like the SA, beating up and killing people in the streets in the 1930s in Germany. It is about eliminating any kind of civil opposition.
You forgot “HIlfspolizei”. Most of them were SS guys in their ss uniform. That resulted in a murdering police group like ICE is representing it. There is a reason why the most agents which are acting outside like this are freshly educated guys with 50 days of education. And it is such a horrible thing. So many young American soldiers gave their lives in WWII to free the world from Nazism. If they could see their own country now.
It is like described in the Stanford Prison Experiment. It is on it’s way to escalate now. And this president wants exactly that cause he believes that he can order the army to kill the people standing aganst him and having so citizens which are bravely doing what he wants. The vokabulary and the behavior are exactly like Hitlers Group of Thougs was doing it. And nobody of the republicans shall say later: “We did know nothing about”. Far away from that.
I believe that everyone having a cell phone with video will be a huge win for democracy in the long run. This Administration can gaslight all they want but the multiple videos from multiple angles give us a much different story. At the protests that I’ve been at I’ve taken video of people that were suspicious - just because you never know.
