Xojo jealous?

Xojo seems to be jealous of 3rd party products. But what would Xojo be without all the add-ons?

Simple answer: not really interesting for anybody.

The Add Ons category was added to the forum so that 3rd party products could couldn’t be confused with things that came with the core product. Nothing more, nothing less.

I wrote a extensive plugin library, which included supporting multiple languages, full font support, 2fa, updated widgets, put it in their plugin list off the forum in a week it was removed, no reason just vanished. No answer when I asked why. I dumped the project.

Jealous?

There are many users asking for 3rd party support on the other forum, creating a specific category for those questios looks like supporting for the 3rd party comunity.

Simple fact. This thread, by just existing demonstrates that you are wrong. Xojo is so interesting and important to you that you are the first one allways running to post how you dont care about it.

Stop dreaming Ivan. Xojo itself is not important. The people hangin in problems are. That’s the difference. If Xojo would be important I would use it for projects. That is not the case.

Xojo isn’t important at all. Geoff made sure of that.

But it is interesting like a dumpster fire is interesting. Geoff really did a great job telling devs to pound sand. Many of us lost a ton of time and money on Geoff’s follies.

So yeah, watching them wither is interesting.

From time to time I take a look at old dev platforms I used to see if something relevant has changed/improved. No change detected until now.
