I’m told that 2021 will be an odd year, it’s impossible to get even with 2020.

well… we could forget 2021 and go right to 2022… According to Verge we will have flying taxi’s

ooohhh new toys out available !

But note all the “not finished” statements. Doesn’t look like they’ve really altered their “beta” process.

I think we need to tread lightly here in how we reference this topic going forward. Unless we are talking about the up and coming new Gi-Joe action figures coming out REAL soon :stuck_out_tongue:

I just dont want to see anyone lose Gi-Joe access. thats all

Could you share some datails please. I don’t have access.

You can request access by emailing them and requesting you be added to the pre-release testers

I didn’t knew that, thanks for the info.

I’ll be upgrading to the Pro license in the next couple of days, at the current time I only have a valid license for Web.

I would wait until R1 drops… that way, you get 12 months from that date.

You are right.

I guess I should email Xojo and ask to be added in the meantime.

The one reason I might have to purchase the lincese before R1 is available is that I might need to compile a bit of code I need to change on an app I developed back in 2014 and perhas I will have to do it before R1 is released. I’ll try to hold compiling as long as I can.

Yes I know I could download an earlier version and compile on that one but what’s the fun in that?

You have to have a current licence to get pre release copies. I emailed them a few weeks ago.

This is from Jason Parsley

“Yes, the pre-releases won’t be let you sign-in unless they see a license. If you decide to order, please let me know afterward and I can enable the pre-releases for you.”

Just to make sure I’m current I spoke to Jason 5 minutes ago. You do indeed need a licence for either web or desktop to get this.

I have a valid Web license but I have not filled a feedback case ever. I guess I’ll wait until I have upgraded my license to pro.

Just file a feature request using feedback. Takes two seconds.

Shouldn’t take you too long to find a bug

I didn’t thought of that LOL.

Maybe my needs for Xojo are really basic, my apps are basic CRUD but I have never found a bug. I know that some people find bugs often but my use case is probably so basic I have never come across one.

Entirely possible that you dont run into any bugs.
Depending on what uses you make of it you may or may not.

But if you’ve ever had to code in a workaround because Xojo isnt doing something the way you expect or is behaving oddly I would guess you have but just dont realize it because “everyone does this”
