First part also wrong. It doesn’t at all. Almost everything is server side. There is so much that could be done browser side. I’m always baffled at the speed a browser engine can do things. Granted, they are memory monsters nowadays, but they are also a damn good piece of software…
Looks like yet another misleading message, which you can neither be confirmed nor denied as the TIOBE index only ranks the #100 and not the #150 last time I checked. Guess they are #101, but unfortunately no one can see it…
yeah it is only the 100
FIXED : IS to say HAS RANKED and TOP 100 not 150
It’s also misleading as it says it ranks the quality of software whereas it ranks the popularity of software.
Direct from TIOBE.com:
“The TIOBE Programming Community index is an indicator of the popularity of programming languages. The index is updated once a month. “
Note they mash two unrelated things together
- the index (which ranks popularity)
- what TIOBE itself does - which is quality assessments of software
They’re not related for the purposes of that entry
If we want to look on it in reality: Xojo is in the market not relevant. Sometimes even not in the index and this index based only on discussion traffic and nothing more. And even there it is so that xojo isn’t relevant. It is there while all other languages are before Xojo. And on Top of the List you will find Python (of course while it is the most used scripting language worldwide, not because it is the most used programming language, therefore that should be separated while many people can’t get this small but really relevant difference), C++ (while it IS the de facto industrial standard) and C (look at c++, here it is the same) and Java (dito). Even C# is not in the same range of relevance.
Yep, I wonder who may take the job. Writing ‘I worked for Xojo’ means nothing.
The one taking that Job takes it while he needs to earn money. Has nothing to do with that question I guess.
could also be a desensitization measure paid for by health insurance for a patient who needs to work on his assertiveness - But only in Europe, I doubt that a US insurance would pay a penny.
