No. The entire problem of ads is no problem. They can be really informative and people which are interested in a product like for example Silver having then the information directly delivered by vendor. That’s why I meant it would be interesting to have - for this cases - a badge to mark exactly that. So it is not even a bit of a problem. And there is no need for hardcore discussions about swift which is for example open source and Silver which is not.
If we want to discuss Open Source vs closed Source I can say that - in my case for my usecases and for my situation - I am living good with my environment where the language, compiler, IDE and more are definitely open Source. But that’s not why I am using them. It is while they are in a good quality and I didn’t found anything competing with it.
And exactly that could come out with ads for products.Or at least the open discussion about them. Possibly opening an own channel for them. What ever.
Most people here are using an alternative for Xojo what is not simple. And possibly Silver can be for many the right way. Therefore I believe that a bit of advertisement could help to inform the people. Not more. Not less.
