Showing file extension & simulator

Could it be due to Xojo hardcoding a filename?

Any other theories?

well it is unique to Xojo for sure… I use Xcode/Swift and have extensions turned on, and never saw anything like this

I dont think so but things have changed since I last touched any of this

I saw that and TBH I cannot think of any reason this would matter
Esp since showing / not showing the extension doesnt change the actual name ???

It seems relatively new

I thought it may be Name vs. DisplayName, so it may not find something if those are different.
or depend on DisplayName not contain extension.
