Pairing mac with appleTV for XCODE

my mac, my ATV and XCODE are all now updated to 26.4
and now I cannot get Xcode to pair the mac and ATV.
the ATV shows up in Xcode, but not on the ATV
When I tell the Xcode to pair, the code number show up on the ATV, but I cannot type it into Xcode as the entry area is greyed out

I have reset, rebooted, turned off, turned on, in every combo I can think of and nothing changes

Anyone else have this issue? did you solve it?

the Xcode pairing interface has changed! Where before you saw squares on the mac that you entered the pairing code into, there are just circles, and the code DOES NOT APPEAR as you type… VERY CONFUSING
