Ollama Pi AI Agents

I’ve been using Ollama for Ai for a while and around the time OpenClaw became available, Ollama released Ollama Pi.

There are many packages you can install, but pi-studio is one of my favorites… It adds a web front end to Pi with a normal input field. Without pi-studio, you need to use terminal and edit with your arrow keys.

By default the interface is a side by side view with an Editor on one side and a Response on the other, but you can change what is displayed on each side. After submitting your request in the editor, you can manually switch to Working, then to Response. That’s a pain though.

My first modification was to auto display Working on prompt submit, then to Response on on completion.

After getting that to work nicely, I was able to move the Editor to the bottom like a messenger app.

It’s not a massive change to pi-studio, but it really makes it easier to use, in my opinion.

Ollama local is much tooo slow compared with for example claude. Who has the time to wait for the answers. On top the coding quality is not even comparable. Claude is able to write much more complex code structures within a few ceconds.

Ollama is something for people which have much time waiting for the results. It seams that it is not the real professional tool for programmers?

It works with local and cloud.
