Heh. Some truth to the cartoon. OPC is…challenging…at the best of times. Figuring out ‘intent’ is very hard.
In my new day job there are 10+ years of code with a lot of shit bolted on by various developers. sometimes it is easier to rewrite but it really depends on how big the overall rewrite is. Coworker and I are rewriting a major chunk of major functionality and we’re spreading it across multiple public releases because it’s that big. So more work in the long run but the chunks are smaller and easier to deal with (so we don’t break everything at once).
