This solution was originally created in WinDev but has been ported to web and it just got open sourced.
Nearly finished, closed beta release under https://scoriet.dev, if somebody whish to beta test or contribute email me to: admin@scoriet.dev, thank you very much!
the “demo” is NOT inspiring to be sure…. a demo is supposed to demonstrate the product, this does not even come close. Good Luck, but I won’t be back
Thank you very much, what was wrong to understand with “closed beta release”? There was a demo, but after some people decided to delete everything, we had to shut it down.
But anyway, I’m looking for developers and fault-tolerant testers, not end users who have no programming knowledge, no patience, and aren’t enthusiastic about any project, or who might even ask to participate??
Then I would ask for such people and not presenting the project like it is thre newest solution for all of the problems of the planet. Even if - and it is so - DaveS is a programmer he has not to be a fan of a project. Search for developers which want to develop the project with you. That could be more successful.
That is the expected behavior. A demo is intended to test the features, including DELETING data, that is why demos have ephemeral data created for each connection so the user can test everything. Having to shut it down instead of making it usable sounds like a huge red flag…
But, maybe he was talking about the also NOT a demo “Whatch Demo“ video.
Instead of shutting down the demo it would be better to first build a database with all scenarios, back it up and then auto restore the database every 24 hours.
Just my suggestion.
You’re probably right, given all the negative reports. I’ll go over the demo system again this weekend and update it, then see if it’s being abused again. I’m of the opinion that open-source software with a free forever license doesn’t really need a demo, does it? But we’ll see, I’ll let myself be pleasantly surprised… By the way, the plan was to restore the database every 24 hours, but it doesn’t have to be that “ALL” the data is deleted. Let’s see if exploiting the demo becomes a sport?
Test Scoriet now at https://demo.scoriet.dev or click “Try Demo” on our website https://scoriet.dev. The main template demonstrates how it works, but is still a work in progress (do not use it in production!). Please send feedback or questions to admin@scoriet.dev
