One of my guys has just pretty much cracked Claude coding in XoJo. It’s too bad that we’re no longer looking to Xojo for the future. There are too many other good tools out there that are actually easier to code with Claude.
There are tons of languages that AI makes easy and makes Xojo more irrelevant by the day.
Why then publish a hack for XoJo AI???
AI won’t safe Xojo, nor anything else on the vertex to doom.
Let me say it so: could be good but… Starts with only Lists instead of tables in Android. I mean: it is included in the android components they use…I can’t understand. Desktop: quite okay, no question. Web: huu that’s another story. Even if 2.0 is better than 1.0 they could still…
Too many legacy clients with too many years of code that need to be maintained; that’s why.
DBKit by Geoff Perlman, Xojo`s CEO, was publicly announced and released in beta
on August 14, 2023.
As of March 20, 2026, it has been under development for approximately
2 years and 7 months.

Okay. And why it works with Java like heck??? a few thounds of times more in use (Million users instead of hundrets and also with big language changes). Depends on training users. XoJo has too less users for that
Hello Jay, If you don’t mind the intrusion, in what direction are you headed? I respect your opinion on this.
Kind regards, Andrew
Node.js + React + Mantine + Vite + TypeScript+ PostgreSQL (Drizzle ORM)
While I cannot code them proficiently myself, I can certainly read the code. Very much like learning a foreign language. It’s much easier to hear and understand than it is to come up with the words yourself. – You still got to take your time. You still gotta make sure that there’s a good architecture in place, but you can’t, in fact, let the AI do the coding now.
It’s no longer a shiny object, and he doesn’t have any spare engineers to do anything with it, so it’s kind of just dead in the water. (Besides, it didn’t do anything that Bob’s DB kit didn’t do ten years ago.)
Still no idea why he didnt start with that and extend it in some of the same ways I did for your usage in Xojo
Oh well …..
“I” and “You”. was the equation. “He” is the issue.
It does some things objectively worse and the evidence suggesting lack of experience is everywhere.
