TOF : Colours in PDFDocument

  1. PDF cannot “respond” to dark/light changes as it is a format designed to represent a piece of paper
  2. The background is not white… it is transparent (viewers show white as the is the standard color of a piece of paper)
  3. It is possible to have a transparent background as that IS the default
  4. You can create a non-transparent background by filling the page rectangle with the color of choice before adding the document contents, HOWEVER, this color doesn’t change with the dark/light mode of the computer
