Times I am happy with Java and JavaFX. XPLat Apps for Desktop can be otherwise really difficult

I do think the chasing of shiny baubles (web, iOS, android, etc) has distracted Xojo from making their desktop offerings better & better
And that their focus is elsewhere now trying to be all things to everyone on all platforms and thereby being jack of all trades & expert at none

I like it when stuff uses native controls though. So much easier to work with long term. 
Oh there are things that native controls in a desktop app enable (like being able to extend them with platform specific methods that apply to a control of whatever type)
But it has pros & cons the way its implemented in Xojo like some event ordering differences
That’s the thing.then you should use java swt while it uses native controls.
