Even so in Germany. You can end up with ten years in Prison for this. But Trump never falsifcates evidences. He invents them. The complete argumentation invented by pres, Trump. I can’t understand how an American President can be allowed to present his own Truths without getting in trouble with it. Even Bush with his Iraq arguments got in trouble with it. But Trump: no critics from the Republicans at all. They are standing behind him. He is fraudulent? The Reps are behind him. He is a liar? No problem, the Reps are behind him. And all of this he was not only doing one time. In his first presidency he was doingexactl what he is doing today. He even told that Biden has stolen his presidency. Nobody from Reps was arguing against. That is what disturbs me. And the entire MAGA scene is standing behind him.
This is the clue behind him. He can tell what he wants. Everybody knows: he is a liar. Nothing is really true. Only if it is written on truths social it is true. At least for them. Evidences? Who needs evidences. Written on truth social. Trump is the greatest.
And in truths? He ruined all international relationships. He ruined what America was building up with Europe for decades within one year. Everybody had to learn: he lies and immediately after he can even tell the opposite.
He ruined the believing in the American legal system. He ruined the American believing of freedom of Speech and the freedom of expression. He ruined the believing in the partnership with the United States of America. This will not result in a great America. It will result at the end in a stronger Europe.
Even the last Vendors had to learn: building factories in America is not helping while the political system there is not stable. You can’t believe in that what the government propagates toay as rules cause in a minute the President can change the entire conditions you have to work with. This is not making all of that. He lied and lied and lied. And he will not change this behaviour at all.
So @MarkusWinter we could say: Trump is like he is because the American constitution allows him to be and to act like he is acting and behaving.
@npalardy I strongly believe exactly that: he made tons of money with all of this. Even with his tariffs and what this was doing to the Stock exchange. While he simply knowed before what will happen he was already trading to make money from it.
IMO it is because congress ceded much of it’s constitutional oversight and power of the purse to teh president and refuses to call him on his excess… The constitution has checks and balances but for them to work, the congress and the judiciary need to do their parts …and that it what has broken down.

I would be happy if I could say you are wrong. Without the congress there would not be the chance for Trump to act like he is acting. The result will be written in history books. But I doubt that America will learn from it.
The book will be banned like so many other books. We average a 5th grade reading level so even if we can read it we most likely won’t understand what it says.

Trump allies are now pushing him to declare a national emergency over elections, and use it to seize control of how Americans vote in November.
Pro-Trump activists working in coordination with the White House are shopping around a 17-page draft executive order that uses debunked claims about Chinese interference in 2020 as the pretext for handing the president sweeping unilateral power over elections.
The play is as transparent as it is terrifying. Declaring an emergency would give Trump the ability to ban mail-in voting and eliminate voting machines entirely, two things that make it easier for working people to participate in democracy. That’s not a coincidence.
And who’s behind this scheme? Peter Ticktin, Trump’s old prep school buddy turned lawyer, who already tried and failed to sue Democrats in 2022 over Russia allegations. And Jerome Corsi, the guy who helped spread the racist birther conspiracy against Obama and pushed the debunked Seth Rich theory.
These are the people drafting the blueprint for American elections.
Here’s what makes this especially brazen: the Constitution explicitly assigns the power to regulate elections to STATE legislatures and Congress, the president has ZERO role. Even Ticktin himself admits the president doesn’t normally have this authority.
His workaround? Manufacture an emergency and use it to bypass the Constitution entirely.
The “evidence” they’re relying on? The same China interference claims that led Arizona Republicans to hunt for bamboo fibers in ballots during their embarrassing 2021 audit, which ultimately reconfirmed Biden’s victory.
Meanwhile, three federal judges have already blocked key parts of Trump’s previous election executive order, ruling that the president massively overstepped his constitutional authority. Courts keep telling him no. He keeps looking for an end-run.
This isn’t about election security. The SAVE Act Trump is pushing would require proof of citizenship to register and photo ID to vote, provisions that would disenfranchise millions of Americans who lack passports or birth certificates disproportionately hitting young voters, communities of color, and low-income citizens.
Only about half of Americans even hold a passport.
If Congress won’t pass his voter suppression bill, he’ll do it by executive order. He’s already promised voter ID for the midterms “whether approved by Congress or not.”.
A man who tried to overturn an election he lost is now trying to rig the next one he’s afraid of losing. His party is staring down a midterm wipeout, and instead of running on policy, he’s reaching for emergency powers no president has ever claimed over American elections.
This is what democratic backsliding looks like in real time. Share this. Call your senators. This is not a fucking drill.

And that’s in blue states. I’ve seen some stats that say poor, rural areas that number is in the 20% range. The SAVE Act would decimate red state voting.
I would bet money that the SAVE act will not even be voted on (and Thune has acknowledged they don’t have the votes in the Senate). It would backfire ‘bigly’.

Possibly this will end up so. He does not want to loose his power cause he knows exactly what will happen after the DEMOCRATES took the power. He will meet in prison or he will end up his life by self like Hitler does when he realized: they will hang me.
Trump overdrived the possibilities and he believed that he can do what he wants. But many of the things he does not as the President but as a civilian. Not everything a President is doing is also an action of the President cause he can act also, beside being President of the United States as a private civil person without being connected to the state. Something he mixed up entirely in the meantime. And this will break his bones. So his willing to prevent from elections is in it’s maximum. and believe it or not: Trumps Ideas about this are simple. He knows that this war will not end up in three or for weeks.

Trump is no longer in charge, if he ever was.
Those photos of him in the ‘war room’ look like simply him placed in a set where he feels important, while the regime change is happening elsewhere, and they wheel him out now and then to distract from it.
The money people have won.
What they will spend their money on after the survivors emerge from the bunkers is beyond me.

It’s good to remember that America has never postponed or cancelled an election for any reason. We had elections during WW1 and WW2. Unless we are under active physical attack in the homeland (eg: Ukraine) there’s zero (valid) reason to even consider not holding scheduled elections. The hazard to having an election isn’t to citizen’s safety, it is the regime’s vulnerability.
While there’s no legal basis for Trump to “take over” elections or cancel them or for him to run for a 3rd term, there’s no legal basis for most of what the regime has done and he’s clearly willing to try anyway if he wants it bad enough. The very act of trying will damage and compromise the results, move the Overton Window in ways favorable to him, etc.
Nothing short of a 90% blowout will probably “stick” and even that will be questioned and subject to conspiracy theories.
Anyone counting purely on elections (1) happening and (2) succeeding in removing the GOP from power – well I hope they’re right, but think they’re wrong to think that will surely happen. And then of course you also have (3) that Democrats would, after accomplishing (1) and (2), not fumble the ball anyway. That they would even imperfectly hold Trump and his minions accountable for their crimes against humanity, that they would be even half as ruthless in victory as the GOP has been – man that is a big ask. Not impossible but particularly on a sustained basis, that kind of a sea change strikes me as a fantasy.
Nevertheless we have to try.

Yes, true. In America everything could be happened. And Trump could try to avoid the election. Possibly. Why he should not? He is simply a bad guy. A really bad guy. A criminal. And now he is even a war criminal. Cause the attack against Iran is not following the right. And it is the same king of war which brought many Nazis to be executed. But we have two kinds of laws. One for the Winner of a war, one for the LOOSER. We will see what will be the outcome.
And one other thing is Taiwan. There is a problem for America fighting against China. The American Army has no ammunition left for that war. China could use that chance. And Taiwan? If Taiwan becomes chineese there is no real possible way for the world economy not to die. Everybody knows that. Only Trumo believes that he is unbeatable.
